The Partnership is working with proven NGOs, to rebuild homes, rehabilitate schools and expand work force training. UNICEF plans to rehabilitate water networks, school buildings and improve school programs, rehabilitate health care, and provide medical assistance to affected people.
MercyCorps is managing the five Connected Communities – from connectivity to the Internet to training of community mobilizers on the Partnership project and tools needed to achieve results. Habitat for Humanity (HFH) has been working through community based organizations (CBOs) in Lebanon over the past five years to improve the housing for families. Currently, HFH is working closely with the UN-organized shelter cluster to define and coordinate shelter solutions for victims of the July 2006 war.
