Connected Communities

The Partnership is using technology to build bridges between the Lebanese people and important government resources.

Working with key community stakeholders, the Partnership is enabling full-service online community access points in Lebanon. These “connected communities” offer citizens local portals to connect with job training, healthcare, education and other government resources—right in their home town, village or community.

To date, a pilot program for five connected community centers has been initiated in five villages and towns affected by the recent conflict: Alma al Chaab, Baalbeck, Bint Jbeil, Bourj al Barajneh, and Nabatieh.
